General navigation is new and improved in Admin 2.0. Hover over the dark grey sidebar on the left side of your screen to switch between the three primary sections of Admin 2.0: Reporting, Filtering, and Smart Alerts. You can also quickly switch between available GoGuardian products: Teacher, Fleet, Director, Beacon, and Org Management. Click a product name to reveal the product's primary features, click a feature to jump right in!
Reviewing your organization's browsing activity and usage data has never been easier. Use the Global Search bar at the top of your screen to search for student browsing reports, website information, Google Docs information, and Google App usage. Just start typing (at least three characters) and GoGuardian will make autofill results based on your input!
Student Browsing Reports: Search by a student's name or email address to view their general information, browsing activity, top content, and reporting export options.
Website Information: Search for a website URL to view which students have accessed the site, recent users, top users, and activity charts. From the website information page, you can quickly add a filtering rule to one of your policies by clicking the Allow or Block button.
Google Docs Information: Search for a Google Doc, Sheet, or Form by name to view an activity chart and top users of the document.
Apps and Extensions Usage: Search for an App or Extension name to view the number of installs and top users of the app or extension. From the app information page, you can quickly add a filtering rule to one of your policies by clicking the Allow or Block button.
Dashboard and Reporting
The Dashboard offers an array of browsing activity metrics which are displayed in the form of cards. Each card can be expanded to show more data or will link directly to its corresponding feature.

Using the drop-down menus, the Dashboard can be filtered and adjusted by Date and by Organizational Unit.
Policies and Filtering
A Policy is a collection of user-defined content filtering rules that can be applied to groups of users by Organizational Unit. Policies contain block or allow rules for Websites, Categories of Websites, Youtube Videos, and Chrome Apps and Extensions.
Out of School Mode offers the ability to configure different filtering policies for when students are in school, when students are outside of school hours, or when they are off-campus.
The Penalty Box is a restrictive browsing environment for disciplinary purposes in which students can be quickly added and removed without having to make any changes to the Google Admin Console.
New to Admin 2.0, Smart Alerts uses the power of AI and machine learning to identify unfiltered explicit content and self-harm related behavior. Custom Triggers can be configured to automatically respond to explicit and self-harm related behavior with any combination of the three actions:
- Notify & Assign will assign the alert to a specified admin and send them a notification.
- Message Student will send a custom message to the student via Chrome notification.
- Block Content will block the web content with a unique overlay and message.
Detailed alert reports contain other valuable information about the context of the browsing behavior, the confidence level of the category, user details, and the ability to export the report as a PDF.
Flagged Activity 2.0
GoGuardian searches through the content and metadata for every website visited on a monitored device to help catch inappropriate content that may slip past traditional filtering. View high-level lists of flagged sites for your entire organization or deep-dive into individual user activity to see exactly who was accessing the flagged content to help you better determine how to respond.
Theft Recovery 2.0
Theft Recovery is new and improved in Admin 2.0. Devices can be tracked and identified by serial number and can be placed in Theft Recovery Mode directly in the GoGuardian Admin interface. Recent device updates are displayed on the Missing Devices card on the dashboard.
