In order for any of GoGuardian’s products to work, the GoGuardian and GoGuardian License extensions must both be installed to each student user that you want to collect information from. Although deploying the extensions across an organization is an easy process, it’s a good idea to verify that the extensions were deployed successfully.
Note: We recommend creating a test account such as teststudent@schooldistrict.org within the same OU as your students for testing purposes.
You can make sure the GoGuardian extensions were installed properly by completing the following steps:
- Log into a test account or another account that belongs to the Organizational Unit that you deployed the GoGuardian extensions to.
- Using Google Chrome, go to chrome://extensions
- Verify that both GoGuardian and GoGuardian License extensions are present and that both are enabled:
