Configuring Alert Notifications
Each user is able to configure their notification preferences for each deployment. Notifications will only be sent to users that are added to the Escalation List.
Beacon has 3 types of alert notifications: dashboard notifications, email notifications, and text message (SMS) notifications. Notification preferences can be set under Beacon Settings > Your Beacon Profile.
New and unread alerts will appear in the timeline with a dark outline and blue highlighting.
Email notifications are required and cannot be disabled. Email notifications will only be sent to users that are added to the Escalation List.
Text Message / SMS Notifications (Optional)
To enable SMS notifications, add a cell phone number to your Beacon profile, scroll down and check the Text Message checkbox, then click Save Changes.
Text Message notifications will only be sent to users that are added to the Escalation List.
