As you return from winter break, you may have noticed that there are new extension icons in your Chromebook toolbar. After many discussions and requests from our users, we've made a few changes to the appearance of our GoGuardian extensions.
GoGuardian’s Chrome client consists of two extensions: previously named Chromium M and Chromium License, and previously designated by grayed out blocks with a white C. We have now updated those icons to GoGuardian and GoGuardian License, which are designated by the GoGuardian Shield.

Extensions can be verified by visiting chrome://extensions under an account which has the GoGuardian extensions force-installed.
Trust and transparency among educators and students has always been a priority for GoGuardian. While this may bring up more questions in the short term, we believe that it will provide the opportunity for open and positive discussions about digital citizenship, proper school-issued device usage, digital footprints and more.
