The Admin Activity page allows admins to view a log of browsing activity for all students in their organization. This article breaks down how to make the most of this feature.
Filtering By Content Type
Aside from viewing all combined activity, admins can also filter their view by the type of content. The available content-type sections are:
- Videos (from YouTube)
- Docs (from Google Docs)
- Searches (Google searches)
Note: YouTube pages that were visited will appear in the "Websites" content-type section. This can include video pages, but this does not necessarily mean that the videos themselves were watched. YouTube videos that were watched will appear in the "Videos" content-type section.
Filtering by Date Range
Admins can select a specific date range to view activity for by selecting dates from the calendar dropdown towards the top-right of the page (up to 30 days at a time).
Downloading a CSV
Admins cans download a CSV of the activity they are currently viewing on a single page, for the select content-type filter and date range. The default choice for results per page is 10, but the admins can change the selection to view up to 300 results per page in the bottom-right of the page.
After making the desired selections, click Download CSV at the top of the page.
Navigating to an Individual Student's Browsing Report
From the Activity page, admins can navigate to an individual student's report by clicking on their name in the user column. From there, admins will be able to see that specific student's detailed browsing history.
