What is the School Session Indicator?
The School Session Indicator is a visual indicator that will display on any device which is being filtered or monitored by GoGuardian (including Teacher, Admin, and Beacon). The goal of the School Session Indicator/banner is to provide a supplementary layer of transparency to students so that they have a visual indicator reminding them that their actions may be visible to the school.
How is this enabled/disabled?
This setting is optional to display to students. A toggle must be set to ON for this feature to be active. This toggle is available in Organization Management > Products > General > Privacy.
Note: Only super users for districts will be able to modify this setting.
How does this look on a filtered or monitored browser?
The messaging will appear on student devices as an expanded view by default with the option to hide the messaging. After "Hide this" is clicked, the circular icon will be present on all pages a student visits.
